  1. Gender equality work at LiUVision 2006:  LiU - a gender conscious university - Rector has got the overall responsibility for the equality work - A special council acts as advisor to the rector. - Through central and local collaborating groups equality will be included in daily work. - Every year a decision will be taken on a common plan - Each department/unit should have a plan on their own -There is one contact person appointed in each unit.

  2. The national agency for higher education in 2003 made an investigation regarding gender equality, student’s influence and social/ethnical diversity. LiU was given the highest records. The diploma from the national agency says: Linköping university has been appointed being the most thorough and well organized site related to gender equality work. LiU has formulated own aims and ways to achieve the goals and struggle widely and deeply to realize these. It works consequently and has expanded this work, now showing results.

  3. Gender equality and perspectives in undergraduate education A project that has now been finalized after 3 years duration A final report has been written including some suggestions on further work integrating the gender perspective into undergraduate education • Some financial contributions have been distributed to the following projects: • - An investigation about male students in working therapy education • To raise awareness of gender issues in medical student’s groups • through • reading a specific book and through lecture series • A series of lectures for university teachers within educational • school • -  Gender perspective in mathematical education • -  Girls and programming -

  4. In the specific project “Students investigate their own education from a gender perspective” students from teaching- and master of science education took part. One consequence of the above project is the establishment of a network for female students within the Master of Science education named Grace.

Centre for Women's Studies • - has been a unit at Linköping University since 1985. • meeting place for female students, lecturers and researchers, as • well as other people within and outside the university interested in • women's studies and equality research. • -arranging lectures and seminarsconducting university courses in • Women's Studies • Three fulltime courses up to 60 points are now available, based on one point per week

  6. The Centres library Since the beginning the Centre has been buying literature and periodicals focusing on gender and women's studies there is now a small library of works. As of 1999, the books can be searched for using the University's local catalogue. Most of the works can be borrowed and taken away, though not throughother libraries.

  7. Språkröret The Centre for Women's Studies in Linköping publish a members' newsletter entitled Språkröret - [Mouthpiece], which contains a diary of events, information on conferences, and new publications on women's studies. Språkröret is published approximately four times a year.
