  3. Business Meetings • In Peru, always schedule meetings in advance • Just “dropping in” is considered rude • Run on “La Hora Peruana” or “Peruvian Time” • Acceptable to be an hour late to an appointment • Conduct business in a brisk/efficient manner

  4. Communication • Most business is conducted in “Español” (official) • Address clients with their title, “Señor” or “Señora” • 3 names: first names, father’s surname, mother’s surname • Use client’s father’s surname for introductions

  5. Entertaining • Alcoholic drink called Pisco Sour • Lunch served between 1-2 p.m. • Keep hands on table during lunch meetings • Wait until host makes toast before beginning to drink • If invited to a home in Peru
