  3. General Instructions—final project • 1. You may pick ONE partner or you may work alone. NO changing after today! • 2. You must be able to log on to a computer before you will be assigned a country. • 3. Mr. Keptner will start calling names at the end of the alphabet to pick countries. If you do not know what country you want when called upon, you will be placed at the end of the list.SOLO-1st

  4. 4. Your presentation will be a power point. • 5. You should put the basic information in it first, then on Monday we will talk about different backgrounds, colors, texts,etc. • 6. Both students (in a group of 2) must be seen working on gathering the information for the slide show.

  5. Information needed in Powerpoint • SLIDE 1. Picture of the country, both students full names and class period • 2. Flag of the country • 3. Resources that the country has—animals, water, mountains (natural resources) and label them • 4. POPULATION –number of people, ethnic groups in the country, and main language • 5. Education—average educational level of population, what age do most students attend school until, boys and girls allowed equal education?

  6. Slide information continued • 6. Literacy rate • 7. Life expectancy of the population—Try to tell both male and female rates • 8. Infant mortality rate • 9. Major cause of death in the country • 10. Crime rate • 11. Food • 12. Fun facts of your choosing

  7. Slide Information continued ---You can work on these in any order—just set up your slides and number them. Then, as you find information, put it in the right slide. ---Once all information is found, we will work on formatting(color, graphics, text) the slides. (This will happen on MONDAY) --YOU WILL GET YOUR FINAL REVIEW SHEET ON MONDAY --ALSO. AM CORE—FINALS START ON THE 10TH
