Take off your shoes for this is holy ground – holy god living in us (positional/experiencial) – need for purity God uses the low points (back side of the dessert) Israelites still had Egyptian idols when they entered the promised land (see gods of egypt) – how could they so easily forget the judgement of God on egyptian gods, yet we too forget and trust our own gods, primarily the god called me Kingdom battle – God against the god’s of egypt. Each plague was a battle against some Egyptian God.
