  1. 7th Grade Washington, DC Trip March 2-4, 2020

Sites We Plan to Visit Arlington National Cemetery Iwo Jima Marine Corps Memorial World War II Memorial American Museum of Natural History or National Museum of American History United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (request will be made) • National Museum of Marine Corps • FDR Memorial • Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial • Pentagon 9/11 Memorial • United States Capitol Building • Supreme Court Building • Library of Congress • National Archives

  3. Cost of the Trip • Total cost of the trip is $400.00 • $100.00 is due on November 1st, December 1st, January 1st, and February 1st. • There will be payment slips in the packets students receive. Payments can also be made online. • The first payment includes a $75.00 non-refundable deposit. • There is a $25.00 fee for any late payments. • Scholarships are limited to partial scholarships. Students must participate in the fundraising to be considered for scholarships.

  4. Behavior Contract • Students and parents will sign a behavior contract. • It will go into effect Monday, October 7th. • If students are OSS or have more than 3 days in ISS, they will not be able to attend the trip. • Drug, Alcohol, Stealing, or Fighting Violations will result in removal from the trip.

  5. Forms • Permission Form • Behavior Contract • Medical History and Authorization Form (with copy of insurance card – front and back) • Roommate Form • Permission for Administration of OTC and prescription meds (if necessary)

  6. T-Shirts • It is a possibility that we will order t-shirts for students to wear. • The cost will be about $25.00 for three t-shirts. • This will be for safety; it will help chaperones keep track of students easily. • I will let you know as soon as possible about this option.

  7. Other Information • There will be another parent meeting in early February. • Hotel – Holiday Inn Express in Woodbridge, VA • After the first 40 students have made a payment, any other students will go on a wait list. • A Canvas course will be created for extra copies of forms, reminders, and other information.
