Municipalities Proposed UAS-Restricted Airspace Safety Critical Land: • Land underlying ILS approach corridor, starting at final approach fix, ending at runway threshold, and extending one (1) statute mile either side of final approach course. Restricted Land: • Includes all land designated as “safety critical,” plus land located within circular area centered at airport reference point, out to radius of five (5) statute miles.

WHEREAS, Section 1506 of the Pennsylvania Second Class Township Code, 53 P.S. • §66506, as amended, authorizes the Board of Supervisors of the Township of Moon (hereinafter • referred to as the “Township”) to “adopt any ordinances, bylaws, rules, and regulations not • inconsistent with or restrained by the Constitution and laws of this Commonwealth necessary for • the proper management, care and control of the Township and its finances and the maintenance of • peace, good government, health and welfare of the Township and its citizens, trade, commerce and • manufacturers
Public Safety UAS COA Operation of small Unmanned Aircraft System(s) weighing less than 55 pounds and operating at speeds of less than 87 kts. (100 mph) in Class D airspace at or below 400 feet Above Ground Level (AGL) in the vicinity of the Munhall Borough, Pennsylvania under the jurisdiction of the Allegheny County Airport Traffic Control Tower (AGC ATCT).

UAS INCIDENT REPORTING FAA Aviation Safety Hotline to reports incidents involving UAS: - 1-866-TELL-FAA (866-835-5322) or https://www.faa.gov/contact/safety_hotline/ Airports are encouraged to use their individual safety reporting systems as a means to collect information on UAS safety: • Report UAS sightings to local ATC and/or FAA Regional Operations Centers (law enforcement)
Request to Operate a UAS Commercial • Confirm UAS operator has Section 107 exemption and COA • Work with ATC to establish a Letter of Agreement (LOA) between ATC, Airport, and UAS operator for future operations Hobbyist • Confirm UAS operator has knowledge of UAS rules • Obtain exact location and altitude of operation • Notify ATC of request and coordinate • If deemed unsafe, inform UAS operator of unsafe conditions and respectfully object to the operation (UAS operator may choose to fly regardless) Airport Operator cannot grant authorization to operate in airspace, authorization must come from ATC

PHL AIRPORT PD NOTIFIED. 1/1/2018 CLEVELAND OHIO UAS MOR Alert for CLEType: Hazardous and/or Unauthorized UAS ActivitySummary: AIRCRAFT WAS ON A 3 MILE FINAL AND QUESTIONED IF THERE WAS A HELICOPTER AT HIS 3 O'CLOCK POSITION AND 1 MILE NORTH WEST OF HIS POSITION, PILOT REPORTED IT BEING A DRONE. A BIG ONE WITH ORANGE FLASHING LIGHTS, AROUND 600 WESTBOUND AROUND I-90. CITY OF CLE AIRPORT OPS NOTIFIED AND CONTACTED CPD.
UAS PIREP 1/11/2018 MIAMI FLORIDA PRELIM INFO FROM FAA OPS: MIAMI, FL/UAS INCIDENT/1330E/E-ROC ADVISED BOMBARDIER CL60 REPORTED A UAS OFF THE LEFT SIDE AT 500 FEET WHILE EAST BOUND AT SAME ALTITUDE 1.5 FINAL RUNWAY 9L. PIC STATED THE UAS WAS "NEAR MID-AIR", NO EVASIVE ACTION REPORTED. LOCAL LEO WAS NOTIFIED. 3/28/2018 DENVER COLORADO PRELIM INFO FROM FAA OPS: DENVER, CO/UAS INCIDENT/0545M/DENVER ATCT ADVISED MD11 REPORTED A UAS PASSED OVERHEAD WHILE ON SHORT FINAL RUNWAY 17R DENVER. OPERATIONS TO RWY 17R WERE TERMINATED FOR 10 MINUTES. NO ARRIVALS WERE AFFECTED. NO EVASIVE ACTION TAKEN. DENVER ARPT OPERATIONS NOTIFIED.
