Cable location training is vital for all operatives who need to locate and identify underground services out on site. There is far more to it than buying the equipment, taking it out of the box, and reading the instructions! Apart from any other considerations, there can be circumstances in which it is possible to draw a wrong conclusion if you are not familiar with the limitations that the CAT and Genny have in some situations. And the same can apply to GPR because of ground conditions.

  3. 08442412597 enquiries@sygma-solutions.com Our cable location training in the classroom teaches operatives all of the basics, starting from scratch, and assumes that attendees know nothing. When the pandemic struck, it was still necessary for workers to carry on with their work in many situations, and so we produced an online CAT and Genny training course that covers all of the work that used to be done in the physical classroom. This means that operatives can ask questions and get answers from the instructor, and also that it is not necessary to travel anywhere in order to learn. Of course, it is essential to put into practice what has been learned in the classroom, whether online or at a physical meeting, and so this part of our courses does involve work on site. However, this can be done at our centre in Lancashire, or at a site of your choice that is more convenient for your business if you prefer.

  4. 08442412597 enquiries@sygma-solutions.com You Can Gain The Qualifications That You Need Together with practical work on site, our onlineCAT and Genny training courses can get operatives the qualifications that they need in order to be able to work on more and more sites in the UK. There is HS2 just for a start, and they have definite rules about who is allowed on their sites. Same with Network Rail, Heathrow Airport, and so on. Our courses can get you to the qualification of a PAS128 Utility Mapping Surveyor, a QCF Level 3 Utility Mapping Surveyor, and a QCF Level 5 Utility Mapping Surveyor. When you have theses sorts of qualifications, you are able to work on pretty much any site that you want to and earn very good money doing so. For example, the HS2 Phase 2a target date is 2040 – 2045. Knowing how such contracts always work, that will keep you in business for another 30 years or more, because they always run over time!
