  2. Eyes are as large as the stomach. That, is the Japanese way of dining. In Japan, food and dishes are considered to be a type of art.

  3. Japanese food is one of the world's healthiest cuisines. To the Japanese, rice is not just any food. It formed the phase of the Japanese culture; the identity of Japan. 

  4. Ramen noodles are as thin as spaghetti and served in a soup that varies based on regionor city. Popular since It is so inexpensive and widely available.

  5. Sushi is the most famous popular dishes in Japan. During the Edo period, "sushi" referred to pickled fish preserved in vinegar. Nowadays sushi can be defined as a dish containingrice prepared with sushi vinegar.

  6. Okonomiyaki is a popular pan fried food that consists of batter and cabbage. Selected toppings and ingredients are added which can vary greatlv. • “Okonomi" literally means "to one's liking"

  7. Tonkatsu are deep fried pork cutlets and is served with shredded cabbage or on top of cooked rice (katsudon) or with Japanese style curry rice (katsukare)

  8. Tempura - Seafood and vegetables deep fried in tempura batter. It was brought to Japan by the Portuguese. Popular and one of the best known Japanese foods.
