  3. Square Roots • The square root of a number, n, is the number that when squared is equal to n. • There are two square roots of any number – a positive and a negative. • A perfect square is the square root of a whole number.

  4. Square Roots and Perfect Squares • Calculate all the perfect squares using the whole numbers 0 through 50. • For example: 0 X 0 = 0 would be the first perfect square on your list • Your next calculation would be 1 X 1 = • Your last calculation will be 50 X 50 = • Turn in by the end of the period • PS No calculators, no agenda, work by hand and individually.
