Overview • OUHSC Computer Account allow access to: • Logging on to the Network • Exchange/E-Mail • Hippocrates • EHSO Training • HIPAA Training • IT Security Training • Resident Time Reporting
Acceptable Use Policy • Use computer resources for authorized purposes only • Access only information which you have been given authorized access • Be considerate in your use of shared resources (PC’s, printers, etc.) • It is your responsibility to read and acknowledge all policies. http://it.ouhsc.edu/policies/ Report violations to: abuse@ouhsc.edu
User Accounts • User Name/User ID • First initial of your first name + first 7 letters of your last name (for example: jandrews) • Maximum 8 characters (for example: awilliam) • Common names may have a digit at the end • (for example: jsmith1) Your User Name is the same for all systems and it NEVER changes!
Passwords Your OUHSC computer account password will expire every 180 days • Password guidelines • Passwords must be between 8 to 14 characters no spaces • Passwords must be a combination of letters (uppercase and lower-case), numbers, and special characters • No dictionary words • Do NOT use common information i.e. pet’s name, nickname, phone number, etc. • Never share this information with anyone Password management: http://tulsa.ou.edu/it/index.htm
