  3. Take Notes on the BACK of your handout!

  4. Pick 2 Regions out of the 4 • Brazil • North Coast • Andean Countries • South

  5. LOCATION: Where it is. • In your sections- it will tell you the location of your region. • WHAT OCEAN IS IT BESIDE? • What does it border? • What are the countries of each region?

  6. Land description: Name 3 • What does the land look like? • What are the physical features of each region?

  7. Water Forms/Source • Major Rivers/Oceans/Lakes in region • Use Map on page 537 to help you • Questions about Water?

  8. Climate: Use climate map page 636 • Name the climate in each region from the map. • You may also read your section for information on climate

  9. Plants in the Region • CROPS! • Instead of the PLANTS use page 575 and tell me the CROPS in the two regions. • Use pages: 566 and 567 about the crops • Now, what are crops???

  10. Animals living in the region • Leave this one blank for now!

  11. People living in the Region • CHANGE to… • PEOPLE WHO HAVED LIVED IN REGION • Use page 563 for the map of SOUTH AMERICA. • This map describes who SETTLED there! Tell me who settled in the region! • It’s either the Portuguese or the Spanish

  12. Ways people have changed the region • Farming: Pages 558 • Page 566 and 567- Describes changes in environment because of people • South America Ideas today: Pages 568-69
