Food for Thought • The kitchen is the root of the dietetic profession • It is where we came from and where we must head back to OR deeply re-align ourselves • The challenge is that so much nutrition education takes place outside of the kitchen • We face many regulations: • What we can do with food • Where we can do it • How we can do it • Scope of practice AND there are a lot of people in the food space
The nutrition professional is uniquely educated and positioned to connect the dots between the evidenced-based science, nutrition, and the food that is our best medicine This IS our time
“make food come alive so folks can taste and experience the science we are talking about” …dietitians are a critical part of the healing community – our work does help people heal…..
