DILLEY INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT Facility Committee • The district organized a Facility Committee that was comprised of a cross-section of the Dilley ISD community including taxpayers, parents, district faculty, school board members and school administrators. • Committee met numerous times in regards to the following: • Reviewed Demographic & Facility Information • Toured Facilities • Prioritized & Ranked District Needs • Compared Cost Considerations & Financial Constraints • Reviewed Options • Made Recommendations to the School Board

DILLEY INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT Facility Committee • The committee agreed to recommend that the School Board call for a bond election in the amount not to exceed $25 million with the proceeds from the bond to be used for: • High School – New High School Campus to include competition gym, cafeteria, auditorium & field house • Middle School – Renovate existing high school for new Middle School • Elementary School – Provide new structures that connect the K-2 Building, Library, Gym & Cafeteria together to bring the entire campus under one roof • Other District-wide improvements

  22. DILLEY INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT Tax Impact To The Homeowner *No Tax Increase above the frozen level on the Homestead of Taxpayers 65 and over or the disabled as established with the Over-65 or Disabled exemption.

DILLEY INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT Important Tax Freeze Information A taxpayer that is 65 and over or the disabled will not see an increase in their taxes for residential homestead values above the frozen levy amount as established with the over-65 or disabled exemption. To have your taxes frozen, you must complete an application with the Appraisal District.
