  9. New Freshmen - USG • In 1998, the USG enrolled 30,093 new freshmen. • In 2002, the USG enrolled 34,721 new freshmen. • An increase of 4,628 new freshmen (15.28%).

  10. New Freshmen - USG • 1998 - 70.73% of new beginning freshmen in the USG were enrolled in 4/+year institutions. • 2002 - 66.63% of new beginning freshmen in the USG were enrolled in 4/+year institutions. (-4.1%).

  13. New Transfer Students-USG • In 1998, the USG enrolled 9,270 new transfer students. • In 2002, the USG enrolled 11,021 new transfer students. • An increase of 1,751 (18.89%)

  15. New Graduate Students-USG • In 1998, USG enrolled 6,548 new graduate students. • In 2002, USG enrolled 8,103 new graduate students (a 23.7% increase).

  16. New Graduate Students-UWG • In 1998, UWG enrolled 466 (7.11%) of all new USG graduate students. • In 2002, UWG enrolled 405 (5%) of all USG new graduate students. • Moved from 4th to 6th in the USG.

  17. Demographic shifts? • Georgia State: multiracial 3.9% to 10.4% • Clayton: African American 31.4% to 43.3% • Kennesaw & UWG slight increases in AA students (3% each) • Georgia State’s average age decreased by a full year. (& GCSU by almost a year)
