  4. Entrance/Advancement • Promotion stems from proven competence in ones field • These promotions usually entail management of engineering teams

  5. Nature of Work • Aerospace engineers utilize their skills and knowledge to advance the fields of aviation and astronautics through the creation of new designs and the testing of hypotheses • It does allow the engineers the freedom to make decisions

  6. Working Conditions • Work usually takes place in an indoor, environmentally controlled area • Requires a competence with computers • Falls quite well under the category of “desk work”

  8. Pros/Cons to Aerospace Engineering • Pros • It pays well • It matters in the long run of things • It does not require one to be in peak physical condition • Cons • None come to mind

  9. Reasons for choosing Aerospace Engineering • It requires a focused logical mind • It helps bring mankind to the stars, which is where it must go, lest it face oblivion • It pays very well • It is a highly respectable profession

  10. Preparations • I will take further courses in physics • I will take further courses in engineering • I will keep up with the latest advancements in astronautics and robotics • I will keep my mind sharp
