  11. electronic Money Order • Electronic Money Order means electronic transmission of ordinary money order. • It facilitates transmission of MO electronically among connected POs registered as electronic MO offices • It is not a new service but a tool of transmission of MO

  12. electronic Money Order • Electronic MOs are booked in selected offices but paid by all POs. • Fully secured since web registration of electronic MO Offices done by Divisional administrator • Unique PNR number for every MO booked to facilitate tracking through India Post site.

  13. Service Money Order • A Money order to send payments to employees of DOP and to its customers • No commission is charged.

Value Payable Money Order • A special type of MO Form to be attached with VP article by sender • Sender receives amount of his article through VPMO booked by the Delivery office • Commission at the rate of Ordinary MO is charged from the addressee of VP article • A special form (MO-51) is used

  15. Foreign Money Order • MOs booked in India for Nepal & Bhutan • Commission @ Ordinary MO is charged • MOs received in India from other countries for payment

  16. Family Allotment Money Order • MOs booked by Defence personnels to their families • Commission- 6% of total amount • Postmaster receives the payment of MO & credits the amount in Saving account of the family member

  17. Instant Money Order • Gives speed, mobility, safety and reliability • An instant web based money transfer service in India • Min Rs.1000/- ,Max – Rs.50000/- • Can be transferred from designated iMO offices

  18. Instant Money Order… • Customer has to fill-up ‘To Remit payment’(TRP-1) form • Payee to fill-up ‘To Make payment’(TMP-1) form along with personal identity proof • Rates of commission are different from ordinary MO

  19. MO Videsh • A system of remittance to and from foreign countries, through the medium of post office • Min 100 USD per transaction • Max 5000 USD per transaction • Ceiling for purposes: • Education,. Medical, Immigration 100000 USD per annum

  20. MO Videsh • Travel 10000 USD per annum • Limit of outward remittance would be different for different countries depending on the bilateral agreements with the countries

  21. MO Videsh • For the following purpose MO videsh can be accepted (i) studies abroad – Estimates from University/College etc., (ii) Medical Treatment abroad – Estimates from Hospital/Doctor (iii) Family maintenance – Declaration from Remitter (iv) Travel abroad – Hotel/Travel agent invoice etc

  22. Indian Postal Order • A service for remitting small amount of money through post offices • Sold in all Post Offices • Useful for students to send fee required for different competitions • Available in eight denominations and commissions for IPOs are given in the next slide.
