Italy • Slacks are generally not warn by either sex. • Women dress in quiet expensive elegance. • Quality accessories such as shoes and leather goods will make good impression with the Italians. • “Time is money” is not a common phrase in Italy. • Do not expect quick decisions or actions to take place, as the Italians bureaucracy and legal systems are shown. • Do not exchange business cards at social events.

4. Venezuela • Appearance • Fashion is very important to Venezuelan women. • Venezuelans often touch each others arm or jacket during conversation. • Posture while seated is important. • When dining wait until everyone is served before to eat. • To indicate you have finished eating place your utensils parallel and diagonally across your plant. • Unlike lunch, dinner is for socializing not for business.

Hong Kong • Red is a lucky color in Hong Kong. • White is meaning death. • When you have a business meeting by wearing a red tie it impresses the host. • The guest of honor make the first toast you shouldn’t rub your chopsticks together because you basically saying that there food is not too good. • Don’t blow your nose at the dinner table or in public.

India • Men must wear suit and tie for work. • Women must wear dresses or pant suits. • Short can be worn only if man are working out. • Woman must keep their upper arms inches, beau and legs covered at all times. • Must not hit their heads • Head is considered the seat of the soul. • Whistling is impolite. • Never point at a person.

7. Panama • Panamian business men in higher position wear suits. • Women should wear a dress or shirt and blouse. • Women shouldn’t be wearing any revealing clothing. • Panamian women are taking more and more managerial jobs. • Foreign business women should always include spouses in invitations. • Gifts are not normally exchanged when entertaining.

8. Russia • Skirts should be worn rather than pants. • It considered rude to stand with your hand in your pockets. • Women should always cover their heads when entering any Russian orthodox church. • When shaking hands with someone you must take off you gloves or its considered rude. • Its considered impolite to show the soles of your shoes. • It is acceptable to be 15 to 30 minutes late.

9. Chile • Men should rise and shake women's hand when entries room but if female seated she does not need to rise. • Do not raise your right fist to head level is a sign of a communist. • At a meal keep our hands above the table at all times. • White whine is a National Treasure. • Punctuality in business, meeting start and a time. • Business down is master hotels.

10. Taiwan • Conservative dress for men is changing rapidly to more open style, due largely in part to the young staff. • Winking is inappropriate in an situation. • Don’t know touch anyone’s head particularly the head of someone's child are head in very high regard in Taiwan. • Elders make the decisions. • Any gifts given could not be open in your presence. • Modify tone and volume so as not to appear loud.

11. Costa Rica • Don’t put your feet up on any furniture expect items designed for that purpose. • Fidgeting with your hands or feet is considered distracting and impolite. • Most North American gestures will be understood in Costa Rica. • Gifts frequently exchanged all kinds of special occasions. • Have business cards, proposals, and other material printed in both English and Spanish. • If you're invited to dinner to a home bring, flowers, chocolate, scotch, or wine. Do not bring calla lilies; they’re associated with funerals.
