  3. Update from Region VI • Cluster chaired by NNC Region VI since 28 April 2014 after Ms. Aisha Hummeida of UNICEF left the region • Workshop on formulation of regional transition plan was held • Next meeting will be on 11 June 2014, then every two months after up to December

  4. Region VII

  5. Update from Region VII • Continued NIE services in the 15 Yolanda-affected municipalities • Establishment OTP centers • One day is designated in each LGU to serve as OTP day • Mondays – San Francisco • Wednesdays – Bogo, Tabuelan, & Tudela • Fridays – Daanbantayan, Madridejos, Medellin & Santa Fe • BNS Training with CMAM • Completed 15 batches of training • All the 303 BNS of 15 affected municipalities were trained • Training together with the provision of height boards and weighing scales were funded by AmeriCares as part of its assistance for nutrition to the fifteen (15) Yolanda-affected municipalities • CMAM orientation for RHMs of 15 Yolanda-affected municipalities

Update from Region VII • Meetings of Expanded Nutrition Cluster at the Golden Prince Hotel, Cebu City held on 04 June 2014 • RNC Resolution No. 0011-09 (s 2011) to serve as guide in organizing the Municipal/City/Provincial Nutrition Cluster • NDPs will be assigned as IMOs if LGUs/Rural Health Unit does not have IT staff • Cluster to adopt Bohol information management system • UNICEF to train IMOs. Schedule of training is on the last week of June 2014

  8. Update from Region VIII • Secretary Dinky Soliman will return to Region VIII to visit Guiuan and chair an Inter Cluster Meeting on 06 June 2014 • Nutrition Cluster will be handed over to NNC in Region VIII, to PNAO Sallie Jabinal in Eastern Samar • Official handover of the cluster to NNC on 17 June 2014 • Handover of cluster in Borongan and Ormocon 27 and 29 June, respectively

  9. Update from Region VIII • Borongan and Quinadapondan Hospital agreed to establish ITPs, HOM will support training, MOU and setting up • Participation of Nutrition Cluster partners in Nutrition Month regional launch and KP roadshow on 1-2 July 2014

  10. Update from Region VIII • Nutrition Cluster updates will be circulated on a monthly basis • LGU planning done, Representatives from 27 LGUs in Eastern Samar were present during the LGU Planning Workshop with 2 LGUs outside Region VIII Distribution updates (in Eastern Samar as of 26 May 2014) • Height boards received by PNAO from UNICEF: more than 100 height boards and weighing scales received but still not enough for the barangays of each municipality
