That survey question from lab 3 • How well did you understand the material in the last lecture? • I was so lost: 4 (0.9%) • Not very well: 7 (1.6%) • Somewhat: 79 (18.1%) • With a little review, I'll be good: 182 (41.6%) • Very well: 102 (23.3%) • Wasn't in lecture (or, for 101-E, lecture was cancelled): 63 (14.4%)

Some feedback I’ve received lately • Most of it is anonymous, so I can’t respond to it via e-mail • Yes, I read all the feedback left • Concern about being unable to program everything on their own (needing examples to help) • Assignments being not the most riveting • Test code issues • Lab attendance being required • Asking who understands vs. who doesn’t understand • Keep it coming!!!!

Survey results • Didn’t like me rushing through occasional slides (and rushing in general) • More animations that trace through what is going on in the code • Liked the website, and accessibility of the slides and code • Release the labs and HWs earlier • Review sessions for the exams • More interesting/fun programs • Want more humor slides • Not noticing students raising their hands • Textbook page numbers

Survey results • Include textbook page numbers • Liked all the TA office hours • More real life examples • Textbook not all that popular • List of common errors (explanation of Java error messages) • Liked me asking how people understood the material • But should take note of people who don’t raise their hands • Didn’t like the test questions all that well • Codelab – most liked them • Assuming that you understand things quickly • Did not like it when I say, “you’ll see it later”
