Our Mission • Provide new technologies to assist the Canadian government in a national school security program: • to reduce the probability of incidents, • to respond more effectively in case of emergencies, • to globally collect data to measure the impact of the government efforts in security programs.

Our observations • Based on 100 schools in 5 School boards: • Lack of risk analysis • Misuse of security systems • Lack of monitoring • Lack of system interoperability • Missing Canadian school security standards • No national data to measured impacts and efforts • Lack of good practices exchanges between institutions • Lack of training Our solution:PEPS Portal

Our solutions in 10 steps • School self assessment, based on our national template in the portal • Review and recommendations by supervisory authority • Visit and validation by supervisory authority • Optional school certification (for 5 years) • Real time monitoring of incidents and emergency in all Canadian school • Mass alert system • Complete follow-up from opening event to closed file • Best practices: fast & tested solutions, accessible to all schools • Annual national seminar: training to school managers • Data mining by academic and government researchers
