Purpose of site visits? • Check in opportunity • To provide ongoing project support to grantees • An opportunity to share experiences and share information • To voice concerns • To better understand country/local contexts • To strengthen partnerships among TB and HIV activist • To promote teamwork

  3. Agua Buena – Dominican Republic • Test site visit • A series of interviews with different stakeholders • (TB nurse, National TB Program Manager, AIDS activist, medical research institutes, USAID, maternity hospital) • Increased visibility for the NGO

  4. Site Visits • To be determined between you and your CAC member • To be conducted anytime between the 6 months of project implementation • Requires careful planning in order to enjoy maximum benefits • Will result in a site visit report

  5. Site Visit Report • Update • Highlight challenges/obstacles and possible solutions • Highlight success stories • Identify future advocacy opportunities or plans • Share experiences or interesting findings

  6. Your expectations? • Photo documentation • Support when grantees face unwilling informants • Identify programmatic capacity needs around TB and HIV • Identify recommendations for project improvement
