15,000 students & 2,600 staff of Katy ISD impacted by Hurricane Harvey received support through fundraiser and triage efforts. $230,000 raised, partnerships forged, supplies donated. Witness amazing generosity!

Harvey & Katy ISD 15,000 students & 2,600 staff of Katy ISD were impacted by Hurricane Harvey. In response, the Katy ISD Education Foundation and Partners in Education created a Harvey Fundraiser and Support Triage, respectively. Through these efforts, Katy ISD was the recipient of incredible generosity and support. See the help by the numbers.
Over a 7 week period, the Katy ISD Education Foundation raised over $230,000 for students and staff with flooding in their homes.
During the weeks following Harvey, the Katy ISD Partners in Education team created and managed a Harvey Support Triage & Community Partnership program for schools across the district.

Bassett Furniture donated 50 cribs with toddler conversion kits • Academy Sports & Outdoors donated two 18 wheelers full of new clothes • Orland Hills, IL community and mayor drove 6 trucks full of supplies that were distributed to several Katy ISD campuses • Los Cucos Mexican Café, Beijing Ranch, Panda Express, Orleans Seafood Kitchen, Jimmy Changas, Rudy’s Country Store & Bar-B-Q, MOD Pizza all provided meals to Katy ISD shelters • Best in Class Education Center donated school supplies to Cinco Ranch High School
Office Depot on Westheimer Pkwy gave buy one get one free coupons on TI-Nspire calculators for four students in need Schlotzsky’s on Mason Rd. delivered backpacks and school supplies to Katy Elementary Chick-fil-a on Highway 6 N. and Jimmy Changas donated lunch to Bear Creek Elementary Brazos Valley Schools Credit Union donated school supplies to Sundown Elementary Compassion Katy donated school supplies and backpacks to McRoberts Elementary
