  4. Percents • Complete the following chart: • To convert a fraction to a decimal, divide the numerator by the denominator. • To convert a decimal to a percent, multiply by 100 and insert the percent symbol.

  5. Equivalent percents Convert each percent to a decimal and fraction.

  6. Application • Gold that is 24 karat is 100% pure gold. Gold that is 18 karat is 18 parts pure gold and 6 parts another metal, such a copper, zinc, silver, or nickel. What percent of 18-karat gold is pure gold?

  7. Write • An analysis showed that 0.03% of the video games produced by one company were defective. Wynn says this is 3 out of every 100. What is Wynn’s error?
