General Nathan Bedford Forrest was told to stop Colonel Abel Streight. Colonel Streight burned down the bridge that crossed Black Creek so General Forrest could not get across the creek and stop him.
Emma Sansom and General Nathan Bedford Forrest General Forrest saw Emma Sansom’s farm and went to ask if she could show them away to cross the creek. She was only 15 years old.
