Keeping a Balance • One’s health is a continuum- constantly fluctuating • The key is keeping a balance of all aspects of health • Example: • Carrie loves to socialize with her friends. • She often spends most of her free time on the phone, twitter, facebook, etc. • She puts school work on the “backburner”

  7. How does Carrie’s actions affect her health? • Physical: • Carrie is very concerned with her physical appearance, yet seldom is physically active. She often stays up late talking with friends. • Mental/emotional: • Carrie’s grades are poor due to her lack of concern for school. • Social: • Carrie is a very social person.
