  2. Strengths-Based Leadership 34 Strengths for a Great Leadership Team • The most cohesive and successful teams possess broad groupings of strengths. • There are four distinct domains of leadership strength: • Executing • Influencing • Relationship Building • Strategic Thinking

  3. Four Domains of Leadership Strength Instead of one dominant leader who tries to do everything or individuals who all have similar strengths, contributions from all four domains lead to a strong and cohesive team.

  4. Four Domains of Leadership Strength The strongest teams have a representation of strengths in each of the four domains. • EXECUTERS make things happen. INFLUENCERS sell the team's ideas. • RELATIONSHIP BUILDERS hold the team together. • STRATEGIC THINKERS keep group focused. Individuals don’t have to be well-rounded, but teams should be.

Are you putting your strengths to work?Things to ask yourself… Does my position allow me to achieve consistent, near perfect performance that is both excellent and fulfilling? • Is your employer investing in your strengths, or focusing on your weaknesses? • Does your employer know your strengths…? Have you told them? • Is your employer giving you tasks that play to your • strengths and that are engaging? • Are you part of a well balanced team that • utilizes everyone’s strengths properly?  If the answers to these questions were mostly NO, it might be time for you to part ways and seek a career that doesn’t expect you to become a “Jack of All Trades”, but instead the “Master of One”.
