  4. IntroductionWhat is the Early Years Discussion Kit?

Introduction • ‘The kit has been commissioned by NHS North West to support health visiting services in their delivery of the revitalised service offer for families’ • Its aim is to: • Raise awareness of the factors that affect life chances • Enable communities to identify action they can take themselves. • Reveal unmet need in communities.

  6. Introduction: History 2009-2011 Development of Wellbeing Discussion Kit: ‘A Fair Deal for Wellbeing’? How can we engage the public in a conversation about wellbeing?

  8. Introduction: The Discussion kit needs to…… • Be Self facilitating • Stimulate conversation • Take no longer than 1-1.5 hours to use • Be easy to use • Be easy to get hold of • Get people thinking about the issue • Allow people to plan action (if they want to)
