OCUL • Provides an environment for collaboration • Agreements via OCUL are cost effective • Resources are distributed from a central source (Scholars Portal) • IR Group oversees electronic resource negotiations, licencing, acquisition etc. • BUT universities can make their own agreements with producers

  3. DINO • DINO can identify potential databases / resources • Can request trials at the OCUL level • Can exchange information about the products • Can collect and consolidate comments • Make a recommendation to the IR Group • Maintain lines of communication with the IR reps at home institutions.

  4. Data - iGoStats • 6 month trial • Difficult because • Restrictions on databases available • Restrictions on downloading • 8 different products • Some libraries already subscribed to some products • Statistical tables but not print publications • Limited response from librarians because of the above. • Vendor a little slow in responding to questions

  5. Discussion • What do we do about iGoStats? • What have we learned? • What is next? • Are there other products we want to consider?
