  2. Where o where is Mount Cameroon? • Mount Cameroon is located 4.2 degrees North and 9.2 degrees East. • It is located in present day Africa.

  3. Where o where is Mount Cameroon: continued • Mount Cameroon is on the coast of the Gulf of Guinea. • The Gulf of Guinea is East of the Atlantic Ocean. • Mount Cameroon is surrounded by rainforests.

  4. Creation • Mount Cameroon began to form around 450 B.C. • It was created due to rifting along a NNE trending fissure. • Mount Cameroon is a Convergent boundary, it’s fault type is Reverse, and it’s stress type is Compression.

  5. Topography • The highest elevation of Mount Cameroon is 13,435 feet and it’s lowest is 1,000 feet. • The steepest slope is around 8,000 feet. • The map on the next slide has 1,000 feet intervals.

  6. New Information • Mount Cameroon is a Volcano in Africa. • Now it is not active but in 2000 (the latest eruption) It was not dormant at all. • The first recorded eruption was around 450 B.C., around the time it was formed.
