Progress Report: Data Analysis and App Development Updates

Last week, analyzed raw acceleration data, faced Jailbreak issues, found new sources, and noted lack of apps. Continued Maria’s file categorization task. Organized samples, gathered light-motion data, and worked on the phone app. Next, plan to delve deep into plots, complete Maria's task, and keep tracing.

  1. July 19th: Progress Report(Mina)

  2. Past Week • Boxplot of raw acc. data shows nice similarities • Wasted a lot of time fixing Jailbreak issues and finding new sources • No useful apps – not enough interest • Current app shows nice similarities • Maria’s Assignment - categorize files based on activities • retrieve organized results (duration, acceleration statistics, freq, power) per trace • Sample over a fixed isolated part of each trace • Time-consuming (74) – will continue this week • Organized day-long samples • Myself: gather light-motion + day-long samples.

  3. Boxplot (raw acc data)

  4. Phone App - Walking 276.9uW (9s) k: 1.1683 b: 0.0055 m: 1. e-003 zL: 0.0050 wr: 34.1805 fr: 5.4400 Q: 6.2146

  5. Motion/Light Walk to work in the morning: Lines up so nicely! (walk, wait, elevator, wait, elevator, office)

  6. Next Week • Once I get scripts from Craig, I can look further into plots • Assign sections for isolation (for each sample) - tedious • Finish Maria’s assignment (need Craig’s help on the last part) + document them all • Keep gathering traces – run & evaluate
