  3. Y Strategaeth / The Strategy Uchelgais o greu: “gwlad lle y mae addysg a hyfforddiant cyfrwng Cymraeg yn rhannau annatod o’r isadeiledd addysg.” Ambition to create: “a country where Welsh-medium education and training are integral parts of the education infrastructure.”

Y cynllunSabothol/ Sabbaticals Scheme • Yn seiliedig ar arolwg a chyfweliadau gydag ymarferwyr cynradd, uwchradd ac AB; • Lleiafrif o ymarferwyr o AB a gyfranodd ond casgliadau o ddiddordeb. • Based on a survey and interviews with primary, secondary and FE practitioners • A minority of respondents were from FE, however some interesting findings.

HyrwyddwyrDwyieithrwydd / Bilingual Champions • Yr astudiaeth wedi ystyried i ba raddau y mae’r prosiect wedi: “Creu strwythur cefnogol mewn colegau lle na fu llawer o seilwaith yn draddodiadol i annog darpariaeth cyfrwng Cymraeg.” • The study has considered to what extent the project has: “Created a supportive structure in colleges where there has traditionally been little infrastructure to encourage Welsh-medium provision”

  22. 1. Cynllunio ôl-16 / Planning post-16 Cyhoeddwydadroddiad ‘Anghenion o ran sgiliauCymraegmewnWyth Sector’. PrifWeinidogCymruwedinodi’rangen am ragor o brentisiaethaudrwygyfrwng y Gymraeg. Sut y bydd / sut y dylaieichsefydliad chi ymatebi’radroddiadhwn ac isylwadau’rPrifWeinidog? The report 'The demand for Welsh language skills across Eight Sectors’ has been published. The First Minister has highlighted the need for more apprenticeships in Welsh. How do you feel that FE Colleges are responding to the report and on the basis of what the First Minister has said about post- 16 ?

StrategaethDdwyieithrwydd/ Bilingualism Strategy Mae 3 rhanistrategaethColegauCymruarddwyieithrwydd: • Datblygu ethos Cymraegyn y coleg • Datblygusgiliaucyfathrebudwyieithogiychwanegu at ddarpariaethcyfrwngSaesneg • DatblygudarpariaethcyfrwngCymraegneuddwyieithog ôl-14 Ydy’r 3 elfenwedi’ucyrraedd? Beth hoffech chi weld yn y diweddariado’rstrategaeth? There are 3 elements to ColegauCymru’s Bilingualism Strategy: Mae • Develop a Welsh ethos in college • Develop bilingual communication skills to augment English -medium provision • Develop a Welsh medium or bilingual provision for post–14 Have the 3 elements been reached/achieved? What would you like to see in the update of the strategy?

  25. 4. Gweithlu/ Workforce Mae’rColegCymraegCenedlaetholwedillwyddoigreupwll o adnoddaustaffiosy’ncyrraeddanghenion y myfyrwyrsydd am astudiotrwy’rGymraeg. Beth am myfyrwyrColegau AB a’ugofynion? Sutydymyngallucynyddu’rgalw am gyrsiauCymraeg ac ynacwrddaganghenion o safbwyntdarparugweithludigonol? The ColegCymraegCenedlaethol has managed to create a pool of staffing resources that are more than able to meet the needs and demands of students who wish to study through the medium of Welsh. What about students in FE and their requirements? How can we increase demand for Welsh language courses and then how we can fulfil needs in terms of staffing?

Gwerthoeddcraidd/ Core values Mae angeni’rGymraegfodynrhan o Genhadaeth, Gwelediaeth a Gwerthoeddcraiddcolegau AB ermwynsicrhaufod y Gymraeg a dwyieithrwyddynrhan o isadeileddColegauyngNghymru. Trafodwch. Welsh must be part of the Vision, the Mission and the Core Values of FE Colleges in Wales, in order to ensure that the Welsh language and bilingualism is part of the infrastructure and is integral to all they do. Discuss.
