  2. The Mandate: “At this point His disciples came, and they marveled that he talked to a woman, yet no one said, ‘What do you seek?’ Or ‘Why are you talking with her?’” (John 4:27). Alive Ministries: PROJECT PRAY – www.projectpray.org

  3. The Meditation: • PASTOR: Lord, we are so “in-the-box” that when someone does things “outside-the-box” we are amazed. Sometimes angry. Sometimes silently resentful. • PEOPLE: Am I so prejudiced, so tightly wrapped in my little world, that I would have stood in the small circle of disciples sharing their discomfort with your ministry to this woman? We love to talk about evangelism, but when someone begins to relate to the lost – it shocks us. When someone brings them to our churches – it unnerves us. • PASTOR: If our church reaches out, is it a particular type of lost people that we want to reach? Remind us that it was to little Pentecostal churches by the railroad tracks to which some of our grandparents came – humble saints welcomed them. • PEOPLE: I give you permission – break me out of my box. Help me bury my prejudices. Help me reach who may be very different from me. Alive Ministries: PROJECT PRAY – www.projectpray.org
