  1. What gives life purpose? Page 82 Some people view death as the ultimate enemy. Others, however, consider it a natural part of life. Acceptance of that fact is a theme of William Cullen Bryant’s “Thanatopsis.” But death—and life—have other important lessons to teach us. One is recognizing that death, since it comes to us all, makes us all equal. What are the five greatest lessons that life—or death—has taught you? (A list of 5 is expected for full credit.)
