  4. Polish Digital Libraries The number of network libraries is currently – 56 (map) – number of digital objects 427615; from 2009 in Europeana, most of them open. This yearwe introduce public domain in DC bibliographic descriptions.

  5. Interdisciplinary Centre for Mathematical and Computational Modelling - Warsaw University ICM UW promote OA in academic society. Its work concentrates on the infrastructure of open science, scientific content, databases from different fields of knowledge and legal instruments for openness in science. ICM UW is involved - as the leading institution or partner - in the following projects related to open science : Communia, Driver, COAR, CC Poland and KOED. • Realizations: • Yadda repository • Open the Book • Scientific Virtual Library

  6. Creative Commons Poland Initiated in 2005, since 2007 operates within ICM UW. It promotes openess in Poland and encourages the use of CC licenses - 267 objectsare now available in Polish digital libraries under CC.

  7. PCSS projects • Created Polish software for digital libraries – dLibra • Established Digital Libraries Federation – the network of archives working on OAI-PMH Protocol • Signed the Berlin Declaration in 2009 • Adopted the policy of OA (ROARMAP) in 2009 • Set up an open repository of IBB PAN • Participates in many digital projects: IMPACT, Europeana, Enrich, Dart-Europe, • Starts the National Data Storage (conservation and preservation of digital objects)

  9. Open Education Coalition Open Education Coalition is a group of non-profit organizations and institutions working in the field of education, science and culture. The aim is the promotion of open educational resources, initiating projects and legal changes in Poland.
