  1. Technolube TL-PLC Technolube TL-PLC Technolube TL-PLC Technolube TL-PLC 60/120/240/480ml Integrates with a PLC to deliver fresh, precise amounts of grease upon receiving a signal from the PLC. Technolube TL-PLC – 4 sizes Technolube TL-PLC

  2. Technolube PLC Lubricator – Advantages of the PLC unit The main benefit of the Technolube PLC Lubricator is that it can integrate with a PLC to provide optimal customization and control over dispensing periods & intervals – basically control when and/or how much grease you want dispensed via the PLC. Retains all the benefits of the Technolube M such as: *Precise and reliable lubrication *Powerful output pressure *Remote installation capability up to 20ft. *Multipoint installation capability up to 8 points @ 20ft. per point *Important information/errors displayed on LCD screen Allows for an external alarm to be attached so that a visual/audio warning is displayed when faults/warnings messages occur

  4. Technolube PLC Models: Month & Interval Type Technolube PLC MONTH TYPE INTERVAL TYPE Upon receiving a signal from the PLC, the lubricator will dispense at predetermined intervals. The dispensing intervals are determined by the monthly setting chosen. The MONTH type can also synchronize to a DC power supply without being connected to a PLC (like MSP). Upon receiving a signal from the PLC, the lubricator will start dispensing lubricant instantly (on command). The volume dispensed is determined by the Mode setting chosen (Mode 1 = 1 stroke, Mode 2 = 2 strokes, etc.). The PLC is essential since there is no synchronization mode. Dispensing period is controlled by PLC. Dispensing intervals are controlled by lubricator CPU. Dispensing period and intervals are controlled by the PLC. Main difference between MON & INT: More control with INT

  5. Technolube PLC Month Type – Overview Technolube PLC Technolube PLC (MONTH TYPE) PLC DC power supply Connect to PLC Connect to DC power supply Connect to DC control panel The dispensing period is controlled by the PLC (signal ON/OFF). The dispensing interval is not determined by the PLC but by the monthly setting selected. An external alarm can be connected to display a visual/audio warning when faults/warning messages occur. The dispensing period is controlled by synchronizing to POWER ON/OFF (including switch and/or timer). Difference with MSP: Can apply an external alarm – warning light or buzzer to display a visual/audio alarm when faults/warning messages occur

Technolube PLC Month Type – Dispensing Control Process Technolube PLC (MONTH TYPE) Signal IN at HIGH (1) section: Turn on lubricator Signal IN at LOW (0) section: Turn off lubricator Signal IN HIGH (1) = lubricator turns ON and dispenses at selected mode Signal IN at LOW (0) = lubricator turns OFF and does not dispense until Signal IN HIGH (1) is received Interlocked with NPN Type PLC For NPN Type: When wire is connected with Relay Signal IN at LOW (0) section:Turn on lubricator Signa IN at HIGH (1) section:Turn off lubricator

  8. Technolube Month Type – Dispensing Process Examples Technolube PLC (MONTH TYPE) For example, say the machine operates for 10 days and then has 10 days of downtime for maintenance. After the 10 days of downtime (maintenance), the machine turns back on again indefinitely. If the unit was set to the 1 month setting, the unit would operate for 10 days, have 10 days of downtime, and then operate again for 20 days. At that point, the lubricator would be empty (after 30 days of operation time). The total time period, including downtime and operation time, would be 40 days. 8hrs Operation 8hrs Operation Set as 1 month Stopped for 16 hrs Stopped for 16 hrs As another example, say the machine is regularly scheduled to operate only 8 hours per day. That means that in a 24 hour day, it operates for 8 hours and is turned off 16 hours. If the unit was set at a 1 month setting, it would take a total time period of 90 days, including downtime and operation time for the lubricator to empty. 24*30 = 720h of operation time, 720/8 = 90 days

  12. Technolube PLC Interval Type – Overview Technolube PLC Technolube PLC (INTERVAL TYPE) Connect to PLC only Upon receiving a signal from the PLC, the lubricator will dispense instantly. The PLC is therefore controlling the dispensing intervals. The volume dispensed at each interval is controlled by the mode setting on lubricator (Mode 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6). *A PLC connection is essential since the PLC is controlling the intervals *An external alarm can be attached to display a warning light or buzzer when any faults/warning messages occur. *PLCs can accurately keep track of operation times and processes. The dispensing interval can be programmed accordingly through the PLC.

  14. Technolube PLC Interval Type – Dispensing Control Process Technolube PLC (INTERVAL TYPE ) Whenever signal IN HIGH (1) is applied, the lubricator will dispense grease. It dispenses 4 times in this graph. When connected to a PLC, the INTERVAL type unit is programmed to dispense grease every time a signal is identified from LOW (0) to HIGH (1). A HIGH (1) signal input is only recognized once every 5 minutes. Multiple HIGH (1) signal inputs received within a 5 minute period will be ignored by the lubricator. Interlocked with NPN Type PLC For NPN Type: When wire is connected with Relay Signal IN at LOW (0) section: Dispenses grease according to mode setting Signal IN at HIGH (1) section: Dispensing stops
