Scope of Work • Initially erect batching plants on site as well as equipment and material stockpiling • Concrete cutting of 10,000’ x 150’ of runway as well as pavement demolition and removal of the runway and taxiways • Installation of drainage piping, rebar, and electrical conduit • Repave runway, taxiways, and miscellaneous slabs • Construction will begin 60 days prior to November 6
Preliminary Breakdown of Work Performed • Phase 1-60 days Prior to Closure • Major Items • Erection of Batch Planks • Materials and Equipment Stockpile • Haul Road Construction • Preliminary saw cutting • Miscellaneous slab replacement and small repairs (as directed by engineer) • Electrical Contractor on-site for conduit and light placement • Phase IA • Can be completed any time during Phase 1 • Includes removal and replacement of 18 concrete panels ( 25’x25’) • Phase II- 45 days beginning with closure of runway 8R • Demo left and right sections • Active taxiway C,D,H • Work on taxiway H, E3, E1, E5, E11, E13, E, B, B2, B4, B6, B10 must be 100% completed, included striping and electrical work, before Phase 3can begin. • Phase II A& B- a 15 day calendar period follows Phase III • Active Aircraft routes are taxiways H, E1 to B2 and E to B during Phase III • Work on taxiway H, E1, B2, E and E to B are to be 100% complete before Phase III can begin • Paving 1500ft of runway • All taxiways excluding C and D completed during Phase III
Safety and Risk Concerns • Debris must be contained to not enter working areas as well as jet engines • Security Crews, Gates, Fences and Badges for Employees • PPE, OHSA • Flagging for airport traffic • Coordination with airport officials at all times
