  2. 151 kilometer spoor heeft Twente in relatie tot andere regio’s bovengemiddeld veel spoor • Zutphen – Delden – Goor - 150 treinen per jaar • Marienberg – Almelo - 400 treinen per jaar • Deventer – Almelo - 3.350 treinen per jaar • Almelo – Hengelo - 3.050 treinen per jaar • Hengelo – Oldenzaal - 3.200 treinen per jaar • 7,9% van het goederenvervoer gaat over spoor dus veel groei potentieel voor spoor • Landelijk totaal 42 miljoen ton over spoor van de 1017 miljoen ton
