  2. The Night Before the Big Test • Go to bed on time • Put a few #2 pencils with erasers in your backpack • Don’t go to bed angry or upset • Talk to your parents about your concerns

  3. The Morning of the Test • Start your day as your normally do • Eat a healthy breakfast • Have a positive attitude • Take deep breaths if you get nervous • Relax

  4. How to answer multiple choice questions… • Read the question and ALL answer choices before marking anything • Eliminate wrong answers first

  5. Make educated guesses if you are unsure, don’t guess blindly • Pay attention to key words that will help you choose the correct answer

  6. Hints for Reading Passages • Read the questions before you read the passage, this will help you understand what is required of you • Look for clues in other questions that will help you when you are unsure

  7. Hints for Math Computations • Double check your work • Line up place value correctly • If your answer doesn’t match one of the choices, reread the problem and try again

  8. Pace yourself • Don’t spend too much time on one problem • Answer the easiest questions first • Go back over your answers if you have time • Don’t worry, keep a positive attitude

  9. Final Tips • Fill in bubbles fully and neatly • Make sure you are on the right problem in your answer document • Don’t hold your pencil too tightly • Relax, stay calm

  10. Remember it is okay not to know everything. Some questions may Be difficult, but don’t give up. Keep a positive attitude and you will succeed!
