  2. What is Oncology? Oncology is the department or a specialised branch of medicine that deals with prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of all kind of cancer. The oncology specialists or oncology doctors in India are called oncologist.

  3. Types of Cancer The common types of cancer are given below- -Breast Cancer -Colon Cancer -Lung Cancer -Cervical Cancer -Prostate Cancer -Oral Cancer -Blood Cancer -Stomach Cancer

  4. Causes of Cancer The causes of cancer are as follows- -Uncontrollable growth of cells. -Consumption of tobacco by any means. -Alcohol consumption also can cause cancer. -Exposure to radiation and UV rays. -Preservatives used in packed food -Biological factors such as heredity.

  5. Treatment of Cancer Cancer can be treated successfully if diagnosed in an early stage. Oncologists used different types of treatment according to the stage and type of cancer- -Chemotherapy is the most common treatment. -Radiation Therapy -Surgery of tumor -Targeted Therapy
