  2. Year 12 & 13 Attendance Average attendance for UK students in 2010/11 Y12 students = 91.7% Y13students = 89.6% The link to achievement is that if attendance is over 95% in the 6th form: students get 3 grades higher across their 4 AS subjects compared to those with less than 85% attendance

Attendance - Attainment • There is also clear evidence to link school attendance with pupil attainment. • Of pupils who miss more than 50% of school only 3% manage to achieve five or more GCSEs at grades A* to C including Maths and English. • 73% of pupils who have over 95% attendance achieve five or more GCSEs at grades A* to C.

  4. Attendance – Progress Reports • Attendance is now shown on Progress Reports • It is colour-coded as follows: • Dark Green for 100% • Light Green for 95-99.99% • Amber for 92-94.99% • Red for less than 92%
