Geography Israel has a varied geography including deserts, valleys, and mountains. The majority of the nation is covered by deserts. The Dead Sea and the Sea of Galilee are both located in Israel.
Climate Israel has a variety of climates. The majority of the country has an arid (desert) or semi-arid climate. A Mediterranean climate is found along Israel’s border with the Mediterranean Sea.
Religion The majority of Israel’s people practice Judaism. The largest minority group in Israel, the Palestinians, are Arabs who practice Islam.
Ethnic Groups The largest ethnic group in Israel is Jews. There are numerous other ethnic groups including Arabs, Europeans, and Americans.
Government Israel has a Parliamentary Democracy. Israel has both a president and a prime minister. The President of Israel does not have much power.
