The TOUR WILL VISIT FOURTEEN COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES IN KEY MARKETS NATIONWIDE to examine the speculations surrounding the assassinations of such heralded figures as Martin Luther King, Jr., Bunchy Carter and Fred Hampton as well as give historical context to the unsolved murders of Tupac Shakur and Notorious BIG (Christopher Wallace).

AN INTERACTIVE TECHNOLOGY WORKSHOP PRESENTED BY BLACKS AT MICROSOFT
“Who Killed Martin Luther King?” The film explores several possible theories on Dr. King’s 1968 assassination and includes interviews with Martin Luther King III, the late James Earl Ray and a host of other important players in the investigation of the assassination.
“The Murder of Fred Hampton” This documentary profiles Fred Hampton, charismatic leader of the Illinois Chapter of the Black Panther Party, who was killed by Chicago police midway through production. The film’s crime scene footage was later used to contradict police testimony.
“Bastards of the Party” This film traces LA gang culture from the demise of the Black Panther Party. In chronicling the role of the Los Angeles Police Department and the FBI in neutralizing the Panthers, the film introduces audiences to the legendary Bunchy Carter, who led the party’s Southern California Chapter and was gunned down on the UCLA campus in 1969. Acclaimed director Antoine Fuqua produces.
“Biggie & Tupac” British documentarian Nick Broomfield investigates the murders of rappers Tupac Shakur and Christopher “Biggie Smalls” Wallace, the East Coast/West Coast rap rivalries and Death Row Records boss Suge Knight in this controversial documentary.
“Notorious” Produced by Bad Boy Entertainment and Fox Searchlight, this highly anticipated film chronicles the life and death of Brooklyn’s own, Christopher Wallace, known worldwide as rap sensation Notorious BIG.
The POLITICAL ASSASSINATIONS program also includes a dynamic conversation with distinguished filmmakers, scholars and journalists about the alleged involvement of U.S. law enforcement and intelligence agencies in these historical events.
