  5. Crossing roads Crossing the road is a very important thing to learn about in road safety. On average, around 7 people die a day on roads, which is why we have the JRSO team to help teach you about the roads.

  6. First, before crossing roads look right and left, even if there is a green man. You should look right first because the traffic comes from the right. If you are not very confident in crossing roads, try cross the road with an adult. When you cross the road you should not be distracted, e.g. Listening to music, playing, ect.

  7. Being seen on the roads Being seen on the roads is very important, it may even save your life one day. Many people ride their bikes at night wearing clothes which are not very visible to other bikes or cars. This is why we have fluorescent coats you can buy, or you can just wear a bright item of clothing, just make sure you are SEEN!

  8. Making the roads safer There are many sign on the roads to tell people not to park their cars there, but as you may know people do not listen to that and park their cars anywhere. To help make the roads safer, please do not park your cars in places like, right in front of the school, because children cross the roads to get to the gates and a car being there is very dangerous.

  9. Having fun but being safe! Its great fun to ride your bike or scooter or walk on the road with your friends, but to make it fun and safe you should • Be aware of your surroundings • Have the right clothing, e.g. Helmets, knee pads.
