Before the end of this fiscal year, the company is planning to launch the new Ertiga and the new WagonR. The new WagonR will make its entry in the Indian market in the first quarter of 2019, most probably in February. The car has been already launched in the Japanese market but has a different design from the Indian model. For many years people have made a clear assumption about Maruti as car brand that manufactures cost-effective cars. However, the company is now coming up with more stylish and feature-rich cars. This new WagonR is the 6th generation in the WagonR series. Maruti launched the first and second gen of the car, the latter being the one we have today. In comparison to the older generations, this car has a more sculpted bumper and a longer bonnet. With a muscular line running across the length of the car, the car also gets flared fenders. With a top speed of 152kmph, the car can accelerate from 0-100kmph in 18.6 seconds. The new WagonR will come with a 5-speed gearbox and Maruti’s Auto GearShift. The engine that powers this WagonR also powers the Celerio and the Alto K10. This car is also expected to be more fuel efficient. While the current model has a fuel economy of 20.51kmpl, the new WagonR could have a fuel economy of 22kmpl.
