  3. What is your name? • Anata no namae wa nan desu ka? • This is one way to ask someone, “What is your name?” • One way to answer is: Watakushi no namae wa (your name) desu.

  4. How old are you? • Anata wa ikutsu desu ka? • This is one way to ask someone, “How old are you?” • One way to answer is: Watakushi wa (number in Japanese) sai desu.

  5. What day is it? • Kyo wa nani yobi desu ka? • This is one way to ask someone, “What day is today?” • One way to answer is: Kyo wa (day in Japanese) desu.
