Teachers at their best in Classroom at BDMI
In School, we donu2019t deal with inanimate objects, or robots or machinery. We deal with living, breathing, thinking, emotional and a tad bit over dramatic youngsters who deserve nothing less than very best. What we say and do in classroom has an impact and that is something which always matters. BDMIu2019s teachers follow some unique tricks to keep the class environment positive and bring the best out of each student. One of the main tools of operation to keep the pulse of classroom positive is humour. Once we learn the trick to inject humour into our lessons at the right time and in the right context and actually get a laugh or two, we can feel relax. Once we relax, our happy attitude radiates throughout the classroom almost visibly changing bored looks and hunched shoulders into eager learners, who while waiting for our next punchline start to listen. Another way to inject positivity is to make the learner feel u2018safeu2019 as soon as we walk in u2013Our positive attitude matters, Oour words have an effect, positivity helps the learner grow while negativity crushes. We must be the one who gives them the space to grow, where they feel free to speak up, participate and feel encouraged to be the best they can. There is no failure. Only feedback. (Robert Allen) A positive classroom is only as good as a positive learner. We as teachers need to shed those preconceived notions which hinder our ability to accept the uniqueness of that learner. A tool which always injects a positive attitude in the classroom is relatability with a dash of goofiness. We can pretend to make mistakes and that we have found brings the learner to my side. Laugh at ourself once in a while and they will laugh with you, not at you! The teachers at BDMI are the first line of protection for the learner. As a teacher, they are their final line of defense.
