Mrs. Mitchell’s Class Newsletter Nov. 18th Reading We are still working on Main Idea and details Possessive nouns See the Family Times sheet that was sent home last week for more information on how to help at home with these skills. This unit vocabulary words are also on that sheet. • Math • When paying cash at the store have your child pay the cashier and receive change. We are talking about this week in math. • Trouble Spots!! • A lot of students struggle with counting quarters with dimes. • Have your child count amounts of coins at home for practice. Social Studies Last week we started our Economics unit. We are talking about goods and services and producers and consumers. Study guide will be sent home soon. Science We are finishing up our habitat unit. Study guide was sent home last week. Students made a book and that will be sent home this week to assist with studying. Upcoming Events Nov. 18th & 20thtutoring Nov. 20th spelling quiz Nov. 25th Habitats test Please be studying with you child at home the multiplication facts. It is expected that you child will know up to the five facts before Christmas Break.
