  1. CryGuide - Menus Visual PowerPoint Guide

  2. Useful for lining up objects (Disable for fine-tuning position) Automatically sets newly placed entities on ground level Only number out of these you actually use Most used movement mode (move along horizontal plane) Quick button alternative to Ctrl+P Changing the camera speed is crucial to fine-editing

  3. Display Menu Hides the little icons above objects…useful at times As of 3/2/11, does not work haha I hardly ever switch to these so it’s best to just ignore them For the best editing experience, I choose “Low” but the higher settings are useful when reviewing a level

  4. Terrain Menu Used a lot! Can be useful at times… Self-Explanatory Allows you to modify many TOD properties… Allows for top-down editing of terrain…

  5. Game Menu Click to enable Physics/AI without entering the game (stay in camera mode) (or Ctrl + P) Change this if you are making a multiplayer map… Opens the equipment pack editor…useful for changing the equipment of already-placed AI NOTE: Equipment packs are GLOBAL meaning the changes made here will effect all other levels… Determines if player spawns at camera when switching to game mode or from a custom start marker When making a new level, you may have to click this to get the AI working… Click to play level (or Ctrl + G)

  6. Tools Menu Comes in handy sometimes Click these if you are getting errors or if your level isn’t working right I often forget that the Sound Browser is located here…

  7. View Window Go here to add objects to your level/Rollup Bar Click here if your Rollup Bar disappeared… Most of these objects are self-explanatory…

  8. Advanced Edit Menu I hardly use these…but it is easy to see when they could be used…

  9. Create Menu This entire menu is basically the “Objects” tab of the Rollup Bar…
