Camels. Hello I am a camel. I live in the hot dry desert in North Africa. Look at all the sand in the desert. It is very very hot here. What can you see ?. Can you see me with my camel friends in the sand dunes ?.

  2. Hello I am a camel. I live in the hot dry desert in North Africa.

  3. Look at all the sand in the desert. It is very very hot here.

  4. What can you see ?

  5. Can you see me with my camel friends in the sand dunes ?

  6. Camels are called the ships of the desert because they are very good at carrying things .

  7. Look at this saddle. Camels can give people a ride.

  8. Can you see where I am ?

  9. I have long eyelashes to keep the sand out of my eyes.

  10. I have strong teeth so I can chew thorny plants. Look at my nostrils. They can close to keep sand out.

  11. We have long legs to keep us away from the hot sand. Can you see my hump ? We have a hump which has fat inside so we can live without food or water for a week.

  12. How many humps has my cousin the Bactrian camel got ? He has thick fur and he doesn’t live in the desert.

  13. My feet have 2 toes and they are wide and have pads to stop me from sinking into the sand.

  14. Here is some milk from a camel. Camel’s milk is very good for you.

  15. Ah !!! This is me when I was just born.

  16. Hey ! Get off my tail !Must be time to go.
