Waterfall Development – Equipage and Airline Overview • Key Sites • Key Sites selected after analysis of 11 Options • Selection Criteria • Availability of equipped A/C (Both currently equipped, and high probability of equipage by Key Site timeframe with FANS 1A+ and VDL2) • Local Constraints and Considerations • Schedule (# Parent ERAMs) • ERAM Lab Configurations • Remaining Site Waterfall • 3 regional deployment teams • Deployed by En Route Center
Waterfall Development - Approach Notional Waterfall Implementation Waterfall Implementation Constraints Anticipated Equipage Profile Iterative Development Process
Proposed ISD Configuration • ISD Configuration • Three ERAMs • Salt Lake Center -- ZLC • Atlanta Center -- ZTL • Houston Center -- ZHU • Three TDLS Tower Key Sites • Salt Lake City Airport -- SLC • Houston Intercontinental Airport -- IAH • Houston Hobby Airport -- HOU • Rationale • Key Site 1 selected due to co-location with ZLC National ERAM Site. Few aircraft ops but quickest to set up and lowest technical risk. • ZHU center was picked to best match needs of implementation, equipage, and stakeholders • Two airports in same center to reduce timeframe to ISD as well as testing constraints • Contains a diverse equipage options (United, Southwest, FedEx and UPS) • Operations large enough to reduce risk of low equipped flights
